Details:
"Shine" - The last song written for the EP, is a Prayer to Spirit to Shine Light, Love & Peace upon this Planet and in My Heart. Before the song starts there is a few seconds of ambient sound of the Creek in the forest behind Our Home in Sycamore.

"If You Want To" - Written (2007) while I was living in Manhattan. I was the volunteer coordinator for Unity Of New York, and was surrounded by people who were learning to live their divine dreams to the fullest. I feel the lyrics were influenced by the Unity Spirit and invites us all to ask ourselves what it is that we want to manifest in our lives and then reminds us that we have the Power to do it… ''if we want to.'' (I played all of the electric guitar in this song on my friend, Trafton Harvey''s Squire Strat.)

"Clear" - (Written by Ron Eisner & Ojay Glenroy Smith) I discovered this song when my Sycamore Brother, Daniel lent me an EP by The Resolvers, a Florida based Reggae band. It was the "We must continue…" bridge that first caught my attention. And as soon as the song finished I clicked back to the beginning and heard, "People change maybe I should to." I felt I had just found my new theme song. It resonated on both a personal and global level with me. It had only been a few months since the Oil Spill in the Gulf and the lyrics felt very relevant and timely. Awesome song Ron and Ojay! Jah Love!

"45s" - Another song written in New York (2007). I''m not sure exactly were this one came from - it just sort of popped out at a time I was spending a lot of time writing whatever came to mind. It was written and first recorded with just a simple finger plucking rhythm on the acoustic guitar. It was only after Tyler added his upright bass and ask if he could try and lay a piano track and next an organ track on his mom''s old pump organ - that the song took on a life of it''s on. With each new layer - Artemis''s sweet harmonies, Arielle''s gypsy Violin and finally Ian''s amazing percussion work - the song grew into something I never could have imagined as I wrote it oh so many years ago.

"This Little Light" - I remember singing this song in the little kid''s choir at West Street Baptist Church when I was a child. And many many moons later the first incarnation of SunShine Lemonade, in New York City, used to close their Hearts and Voices performances with a Bluegrassy-uptempo''d version of it - sandwiched between two slices of the song "Amen." Something about Little Light felt right - and I like how it allows the EP to end with the same word it began with - "Shine."
