Early in their career, RGTG grabbed the attention of the local media. Fort Worth Weekly magazine wrote an article stating, “Though only a couple of months old, funk-metal quintet Rabbit’s Got the Gun is already established.” In another article, they went on to state, “They’re funky and melodic…from their amped-up original material to covers ranging from Gloria Gaynor to Radiohead, the band can do just about anything technically.” They also captured the ear of TCU Radio who invited them to play live on the air. The band won “New Artist of the Year” in The Fort Worth Weekly Awards. . They released their first ep in February 2010 and released the rough draft of their full length CD to their loyal fans in May 2010. Rabbit’s Got The Gun has proven to be an inspiring and innovative band who is creating a sonic uprising in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex while staying true to their humble, grass roots beginnings. With a 2011 Tour on the horizon the band plans to reach out to the world!
