We believe that our young people living here in the Hokianga Harbour are neglected compared to young people living in urban settings. There are very little facilities catering for young people. This leads to boredom and inevitably drives our young people to things like alcohol, drugs, sexual immorality, etc. Many households have extended families without clear role models. We have decided to try and make a small difference in this.
We have auditioned and chose candidates to write songs for and produce and record them. We then sell these songs via electronical download. At the end of the year we plan to release a CD with all the songs on it. We also plan a short drama that we will run in December.
All proceeds goes into the Charitable Trust account wcich is then used for bursaries for our candidates to go and further their studies after school.
