The Amnesiacs were settled in England UK back in 1996 and toured extensively throughout the integral hinterland of the three Ridings and sometimes as far afield as Macclesfield.
Their first gig was at the highly prized Domino bar in Leeds UK which was demolished that very night. Similar gigs ensued. Eventually they were banned from further playing. In the film "The Great Rock and Roll Swindle" you can see someone wearing a top a bit like the one Dave used to wear about 35 minutes into the film.
Then sadly things went from bad to worse. Snivellin' Jim the drummer got lost in a motorway café never to be seen again, and the very next day Barry Bassist lost the use of his hand in a bizarre encounter with a one-legged leek-grower in a nearby allotment on a dark December afternoon. Dangerous Dave was done for possession of non-EEC turnips in a built-up area, and Andy Angst was hauled before the beak for under-age use of a pensioner's Railcard and given 6 months' Community Service working with disaffected shepherds on Buttershaw Estate.
After burning out, and losing a succession of members, Dave and Andy decided to soldier on as a songwriting tour de force and this latest CD, Radio Quick, is the final outcome of 3 years in the studio honing to perfection the 13 songs you are just about to buy...
