“When you are formed and fashioned to do something, you can’t run away from it. That’s what happened to me, and I haven’t turned back since.” This belief is the driving force behind the rising star of singer/songwriter Lindsay R. Watson. Born and raised in Connecticut, she began her musical journey as a classically trained singer during her high school and college years and began to hone her melodic singing style after becoming the lead soloist in her local church. Lindsay soon outgrew classical music and yearning for something more, she made the difficult decision to stop singing while she waited for her opportunity.  That opportunity presented itself in 2003 after coming to the attention of producer Di’Mon Brown who was working on his first gospel project called GodsHouze. Seeing her true potential Di’Mon invited Lindsay to become a member of the group. After her tenure with the group ended in the spring of 2005 Lindsay branched out and shared the stage with R&B legends such as Ray Goodman and Brown, The Stylistics, and Blue Magic as their opening act in the summer of 2005. Her strong performance and commanding stage presence paved the way for the opportunity that she had truly been waiting for.
Convinced that she was finally ready, Di’Mon approached Lindsay about recording a solo album. Giving Lindsay his unique sound of Soul, R&B, and Funk she transformed from a classical singer into a sexy soul diva and took the Di’Mon Brown sound and made it her own. Her untapped potential as a songwriter emerged during the recording process resulting in the soulful and personal “I Tried” as well as the smooth and sultry “This Love”. Though the process was marred with frustration and emotional challenges, Lindsay credits her faith in God and her drive to succeed behind the completion of her first solo effort “Eyes Wide Shut”.
With musical influences like Faith Evans, Dinah Washington, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Yolanda Adams, Lindsay is ready to re-introduce the world to meaningful lyrics and the lost art of the soulful groove. When asked what she wanted to accomplish with “Eyes Wide Shut” Lindsay had this to say:
"I want my audience to enjoy the music. I want them to hear the lyrics and say Yeah, Ive totally been there before. The heart of Lindsay is in this album- I want them to feel that in every song that they hear."
