Details:
"Well, from the moment I put in their album and heard the first song ''Schizophrenic,'' I thought of The Strokes. Not that the Monikers really sound like The Strokes at all, but their hyper-spazzing-out style would probably appeal to the cooler, more open fans of The Strokes, Phantom Planet, and even The Beach Boys, just depending on which song you’re listening to.

"''She and Me'' is very much on the Indie Surf side of their sound, whereas tracks like ''Paleontology'' and ''Teenage Player'' are the Garage Rock part. Vocalists Dallin Gunther and Seth Durfee even sometimes sound like Jerry Lee Lewis (that guy who married his cousin and sung Great Balls Of Fire), I don’t know why that is important for me to say, but I just thought that maybe it would help whoever you are to get a feel for the Monikers'' sound."

"I can''t really define The Monikers'' style of music on this album, but with bassist Tim Eaton''s driving bass lines, guitarist Tom Brinton''s melodic guitar licks, drummer Seth Durfee''s simple/satisfying yet sometimes complicated beats, this blend of surf/garage rock music is sure to make you want to get up and do the twist. Holy run-on sentence. AND not to mention the tasty vocals by both Seth and Dallin Gunther, which resemble the style of some of the 50''s rock artists. Lovely."
