Michael Graye is a 18 year old singer-songwriter pianist and native New Mexican. He describes his music as a fusion of folk, alternative, jazz and rock. His involvement in choir and formal music education has honed his vocal, piano and arrangement skills to create an original, pure sound. Michael’s lyrics describe the experiences and emotions of someone twice his age. Michael released his first professional CD ”Passerby” in June of 2005, under the GrayeScale Music label. He has performed locally with his own trio, including an appearance on “Ear to the Ground” a radio program sponsored by KUNM (University of New Mexico’s NPR station). Michael believes music comes from the soul and it is what makes us human that we can listen not just with our ears but with our hearts.
