ABOUT THE BAND

Marginal Man was a hardcore/punk band from Washington, DC that came from the seminal DC hardcore/punk scene that produced Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Government Issue, Fugazi, and many others. Formed in 1982, Marginal Man released 3 albums, were on numerous compilations, and extensively toured North America before disbanding in 1988. The band continues to influence a new crop of punk/hardcore bands, including New York hardcore band H20, who covers the Marginal Man song "Friend." Marginal Man''s personnel (Peter Murray-Guitar, Andre Lee-Bass, Kenny Inouye-Guitar, Steve Polcari-Vocals, and Mike Manos-Drums) remained intact throughout the band''s history.

ABOUT THE "DOUBLE IMAGE" CD:

Finally reissued after years of requests from fans and a series of poor quality European bootlegs, MARGINAL MAN''S "Double Image" is now available for the first time on a band-authorized enhanced CD, with remastered audio, live video clips (PC/Mac) of six songs, and a 20 page booklet with new artwork and many never before seen photos and flyers. Out of print for almost 15 years, "Double Image" stands as one of the finest releases from this seminal DC hardcore/punk group. The follow up to "Identity," their 1984 debut on Dischord Records, "Double Image" firmly established MARGINAL MAN as one of America''s premier punk bands of the 80''s. Produced by Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, and Bad Religion), "Double Image" stands the test of time and continues to influence a new generation of punk/hardcore fans, including New York hardcore band H20, who covered MARGINAL MAN''S "Friend" on their Epitaph Records release "Thicker Than Water."

WHY WE REISSUED THE RECORD:

"Besides the fact that longtime fans of the band continually asked us to reissue the record, the fact of the matter was that we were fed up and tired; fed up with watching our fans pay inflated prices for poor quality bootlegs and tired of being ripped off by these bootleggers. We felt that our audience deserved something better, something cooler, and something directly from us."
-Kenny Inouye/Marginal Man
