It''s the debut CD by The Madeira, a new Michigan-based combo led by Ivan Pongracic (formerly of The Space Cossacks). If you liked his former band (and who didn''t?) you will absolutely flip over his new combo. In some ways this is probably similar to what a 3rd ''Cossacks CD would have sounded like, but he takes this group in directions that perhaps wouldn''t have been possible before. It''s got 13 great tunes (only one cover - they''re saving the rest of the covers recorded during the sesions for this CD for a seperate CD-EP release set for 2006). Phil Dirt, Rick of The Volcanos and others were blown away when they heard advance copies of this release - this is sure to be one of the top releases of 2005!
