Voiceprint, the fourth and most overlooked Out Out full-length, was released originally in 1997. A rock-industrial sound that flew in the face of the increasingly techno-based club-industrial styles at the time, it was simultaneously a holdout and a forward-looker of a record. With the resurgence of more rock sounds recently, this album would perhaps have been better suited if it were released a few years later. Complicated and dense, it is perhaps Mark Alan Miller''s personal favorite of the first four Out Out recordings.
Out Out is a pioneering Industrial/Electronic/Rock band, mentored by Tackhead and often compared to earlier NIN, mid-period Ministry and sometimes Skinny Puppy. Originally signed to Tackhead member Skip McDonald''s label Axis, then later to Metropolis Records.
Now running their own label, Radio Valkyrie Records, Out Out is celebrating a new era for independent music.
