"Hush Now" was recorded over an 8 month period and is a home spun series of recordings, showcasing Oli''s songwriting, vocal and keyboard talents in an intimate solo setting. Stories, solos, scatting - with stylistic influences ranging from jazz through R&B, gospel and pop/rock - this is a soothing yet soulful, honest and powerful sophomore effort by the singer/songwriter/pianist, who arranged, produced and performed all the tracks himself.
Oli Rockberger, a graduate of Berklee College of music (where he held the ''Quincy Jones Scholarship Award''), has performed at the Royal Albert Hall (London, 1998), Brecon Jazz Festival (Wales, 2003), The City Showcase (London, 2004), The Phoenix Jazz Festival (Japan 2001), Steinway & Sons (Boston, 2004), and toured Ecuador with his trio in 2004, culminating in a performance at the US Consulate General''s residence. Written press includes UK Broadsheets ''The Times'' and ''The Daily Telegraph'' and Oli''s music has been aired on the UK''s ''Jazz FM'' and on ''BBC'' radio.
