New CD from Lovestreet Records - Loving Swedish Jazz
PA Tollbom''s Offshore Quintet plays original compositions, written and arranged by drummer PA Tollbom. The group, originally a sextet, has existed for about ten years. The music on STAMPEDE could be described as modern hardbop with a personal sound, strongly influenced by Wayne Shorter, Woody Shaw, Miles Davis and others.
All band members are experienced musicians, active on the Swedish jazz scene, both in their own projects and as sidemen.
