The recordings were made on a Steinway Grand Piano in the professional studio of Jochem Geene at Studio Van Schuppen in The Netherlands. The first album was given to the director of the Van den Ende Foundation in the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam.
Critics after his appearance in the final of the Princess Christina Competition: ''Not unexpectedly, the first prize went to Martin Oei. He performed a subtle Liszt Sospiro and a fingerbreaking piece by Volodos. He got the audience out of their seats and cheering.''
