Arthur Yoria is one of those musicians that have the rare ability to churn out one gem of a tune after another. His songs are models of contemporary pop song craft. Imbuing his touching and sometimes hilarious stories with rock''n''roll edge, raw emotions and undeniable hooks is Arthur''s way of setting himself apart from the average solo-artist.

Based in Houston, TX, the Colombian/American Chicago native got a late start in music when he first picked up the guitar while attending the University of Houston. After stints in the Houston based bands, The Jeepneys and Lavendula, Arthur decided to set out on his own and released a 4-song, self-titled EP in 2001 followed by a 5-song EP, can you still look adorable in 2002. Having racked up rave reviews, nomination after nomination in the Houston Press Music Awards and some friendly but frivolous phone calls from the major labels, Arthur felt it was time to record a full-length. So with the help of good friend and former Houston Rocket, Matt Maloney, 12 Records, Inc. was created for that very purpose. Released in 2003, I''ll be Here Awake continues to sell very well at performances, regional retail and on the internet all while garnering critical acclaim. Since its release, Arthur has toured the U.S. as well as the U.K. playing in venues such as the Knitting Factory in L.A., Sin-é and CBGB''s in NYC and the world-famous The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England. In addition, songs off of I''ll be Here Awake have been featured on MTV''s Camp Jim, FOX''s The OC and in several independent films.

Suerte Mijo is Arthur Yoria''s long-awaited foray on the Spanish-speaking market. Complete with countless catchy melodies, infectious rhythms, a sardonic sense of humor and his trademark silky vocals, the 5-song EP showcases Yoria''s mastery of the indie-pop genre. "I did this thing on a whim in my apartment and I ended up having the time of my life" says Yoria. "My only hope is that the listener be able to hear the playful atmosphere that revolved around the recording process and be taken in by it." The bi-lingual pop/rocker''s plans for 2005 include "solo" tours in Mexico, Colombia and Spain as well as the U.S. release of a full-length CD in Spanish on 12Records.
