This song is written for everyone in a very general way, but it is inspired by the TV series Smallville, the coming of age story of Clark Kent, future Superman. He was in love with his high school sweetheart, Lana Lang, basically from first sight. They got to finally know each other and fell in love, but not without many secrets and lies between them. Lana began to change, but Clark had a very difficult time realizing that the girl he envisioned wasn’t the reality. They eventually broke up and he found is destiny with his love, Lois Lane.
