From the Buduburam Liberian refugee camp in Ghana comes a new song, "Thank God".
‘’Thank God’’ is about appreciating God, unity, and rebuilding; where the capable is not available and we have to make the available capable. The song ‘’Thank God’’ is an inspirational track which I use to heal my life and the lives of others that are in my situation. It is a highly motivational music that will make the victims of war and dispute to forget the past, and the surest way of healing the wound of post war trauma.
The effects of war are serious trauma that one does not get over easily. However, musical legends and musician like my do believe that, the surest way of healing the wound of post war trauma is by producing highly motivational music that will make the victims forget.
Liberia, in particular has been hit by a serious political conflict which helps to devastate the political, economical and cultural fabric of the nation beyond abnormality.
It is against this background I am been inspired to carefully produce motivational music and to appeal to individual donors, humanitarian organizations, etc. to help me by buying my music or with any other support.
I am Joseph Teah and refer to as ‘’ Talkin Soldier’’. I was born on the 29th day of January 1983, in Greenville Sinoe County, Liberia. Presently, I am a high school graduate and a building technology student at Accra Polytechnic. I am also computer literate and human rights facilitator.
Musically, I am a Hip-Hop and Afro pop artist; specifically a rapper and a composer. I was nine (9) years old when I first tasted the fruit of entertainment. It all started when my uncle took m to perform a dance at the Greenville City Hall in Sinoe County, Liberia. Then the war came and hijacked my future! It was when I lost my mother, couple of family members, and my future!
After the pain of the war, I took music as the primary tool to heal my life and the lives of others as well. I was inspired to form a Hip-Hop group called the Representorz comprises of three (3) young boys with propose of representing and signifying the good image of Liberia, Africa continent, and the world at large.
I have a vision of exploring the musical world by becoming one of the most renown and humanitarian group in my country, Africa, and the world at large.
My objective is to make good use of whatever help or resources given to me for the intended propose. By a humanitarian group, Record Company, Record label, etc…
I have performed in Liberia on charity and street programs, in Ivory Coast on Radio, UNHCR Programs street, and club programs and Ghana on holiday club, street programs etc…
