Details:
joshua tree, california, radio host (KCDZ, 107.7 fm) and "music mayor" ted quinn noted this about the album recently on facebook: "yogi nights is a brilliant masterpiece that i pray to the aliens is noticed and revered by the masses who are not asses."
this album was recorded on state-ot-the-art digital equipment, but the producers & stodder were completely going for the warmest, coziest, in-your-living-room...or in-your-head...analog sound: very much like the best albums of the late 60s and early 70s. Such stellar, authentic records come to mind @ the momento--
leon russell and the shelter people, walls and bridges by john lennon, let it bleed by the rolling stones, all things must pass by george harrison, dark side of the moon by pink floyd, morrison hotel by the doors, and blonde on blonde by bob dylan.
please understand that stodder doesn''t believe that yogi nights is as good as any of those legendary recordings and immortal artists. but it''ll do 4 here & now, he hopeths.
stodder has been told by various humanoidz who''ve heard yogi nights that the voice and music sound like a really good album of the late 60s/early 70s era...sounds from another time/space/tribal humanrace ago. but listen to the 13 sample tracks and judge for yourselves, k?
yet stodder also would like you, the listener, to understand that he''s going for an absolutely real, clean, clear 21st-century point of view or message in his lyrics. & not just some jaded/faded/dated attitude from the distant past...and he hopes that this album will take whomever experiences it on a unique & hope-filled journey from track #1--track #13. the audience''s sweet sojourn from point a to z is intended to make each individual feel better, or at least different, after having made the trip.
and, here''s hopingeth y''all have 1 really superfinesublime heart/head/spirit excursion. let ''er rip! ''salright! bon voyageeee...
{and mayhaps, y''all just might wanna say "shaaaa for the planeta!" as wellz, all u yogis by day or night. uhuh. shaaaaayayaaah!!!}
p.s. stodder wholeheartedly with his music is starting a revolution--a "shaavahlooshun"--as but one of countless spokespersons 4 the planet, GAEA....
becoming a spokesperson for Mother Earth (or doing whatever wants to do to make this biosphere a better environment) is her/his own choice. and it''s a choice made for this planet, right here, right now!!
& remember, please, that. any revolution ain''t worth a red cent unless it''s fun and you can dance to it. eh???
in closing, the 3 ideas/passions of this "shaaaavahlooshun" are: partyit 4 ur heart, partyit 4 the planet, & partyit 4 the universe.
and if you wannaz be part of it, u don''t have to say "shaaaa", and you don''t have to buy this album neither.
and finally, if you''d like to know more about the "shaaavahlooshun" or what the word "shaaaa" means to stodder, then please go to youtube and type in "the shah man" and you''ll will see. it only lasts slightly over a minute, too.
namaste'' all u works in progress from this work in progress. rokkon, shaaaasterz!!
