Igor Shabanov is a jazz pianist, keyboardist and composer.
Не was born in Odessa, Ukraine, in a family of musicians of several generations.
He started writing music at an early age and became interested in jazz in his teenage years. Igor studied jazz piano playing at the Music College of Odessa (1987), and classical piano at The State Academy of Music in Odessa (1994).
His creative formation was influenced by such outstanding musicians as Joe Zawinul, Miles Davis, Harbie Hancock, Bob James, Keith Jarrett, Pat Metheny Group.
Shabanov has spent many years traveling around the world, working on different cruise ships as a band pianist and keyboardist.
Igor Shabanov is the mastermind behind many contemporary jazz, fusion, experimental and electronic club music projects in Odessa. His current band''s name has been given as a dedication to the memory of Joe Zawinul.
