Details:
Del York has published many songs in Nashville and Memphis and is a long-time member of BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.). Del also won the Kentucky Fried Chicken Country Music Songwriting Contest for Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, coming in 4th in the nation. He has since won many songwriting awards in the United Kingdom Songwriting Contest as well as one in the Billboard Magazine Songwriting Contest.

After a couple of single releases of his own and a move to Nashville did not produce the desired result, Del returned to Detroit and opened his own publishing house; Delbert Music, BMI. In 2001, he placed two songs on the self-titled CD by Detroit area recording artist Joseph James. James recorded "Honky Tonk Cafe" and "Rollin'' On," the former stayed on the Music Row Charts for approx. 22 weeks.

Del''s more recent releases through the TSP Label (https://www.tradebit.com) have done very well in the UK, across Europe, Asia, and all the way to Australia and New Zealand; logging more than 34,000 airplays worldwide.

Songwriting, of course, is the foundation on which every good recording is built and this debut CD features 9 of Del''s best efforts and 1 collaboration with songwriter and friend, H.L. Tapley. Some of the songs are just meant to make you smile, while others are designed to reach deep into the heart and soul of the listener. The CD was recorded at Green Mountain Studios (Branson, Mo.), EDB Studios (Warren, MI.), and PK Studios, (Pontiac, MI.), and features, primarily, Branson area muscians; most notably, guitar virtuoso, Mike McAdoo.
