By the summer of 2010, I had a backlog of about 30 songs. Not wanting to sit on them endlessly, I decided to challenge myself: starting in September, I started recording one song a day, giving myself 45 days to get through all 30 songs. I was posting one new song a day online, from Sept 1 to Oct 15 2010. (I gave myself an extra two weeks because I had to go on tour.)
So what to do with this large repository of music? The only sensible option: release four EPs in 2011, each with 6 songs.
