Details:
Born and raised in southwest Ohio, Savage spent his first twenty years like most kids growing up in the midwest. He went to school, worked and dreamed of being someplace else. He wrote his first song at eight years old, and as the years went by his "passing phase" of being a songwriter turned into part of who he is. Pretty much any location proved to be good for writing songs, sharing his thoughts with a piece of paper and a guitar, inspired by the world around him. He cut an independent album in 1989 titled "Pardon My Existence" with his band The Promise. While having a limited amount of success with his first release, the realities of growing up changed his priorities. At twenty Savage enlisted in the US Air Force and before he knew it he was stationed in The Netherlands for three years before transferring back to New Jersey.

Savage spent six years US Air Force, then got out in 1996 and moved back to Europe. Music was still part of his life, but life forced him to make sure food was on the table to provide for his family. He was able to find a job pretty quick in sales and all of a sudden he was on a roll, promotions came quickly. Within three years he was steering a US based software company in The Benelux, but at the same time had a songwriter''s contract with Sony ATV Publishing. His career as director of IT companies went on for nine years, but he yearned for more. The fact is Savage didn''t have the time to pursue his music due to business travels taking him all over Europe, South Africa and the U.S., but he kept on writing.

In 2008 he founded his own company (SavEdge business consulting) focusing on helping other companies grow their businesses. That has since grown into a healthy company in The Netherlands providing business development services throughout Western Europe. But when he hit 40 he started asking himself "what about my music, what about all these songs?" and to make a long story short... Savage started playing shows again and the reactions were very positive. After a guest performance in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, Savage met BJ Baartmans and they decided to test the water with working with each other. That first recording session created "My Lady". It was obvious that this was just the beginning. Typical to the business-minded Savage, he set up a new company to support his music (SavEdge Music). "With the music industry searching to find itself, I figure I''ll be better off on my own to protect my creative interests." Just a couple of months later Savage and Baartmans spent several days working to record a small collection of songs to get things rolling.

He''s been writing songs for 32 years, having written several hundred in that time. "I started having trouble sleeping at night with all the questions in my head about where I''m at in life, my mid-life crisis has six strings" Savage says laughingly. "I couldn''t sleep with all those songs upstairs in my studio collecting dust, they deserve better." BJ came with the idea of an extended play single or mini-cd/album, and what once seemed untouchable was all of sudden within his grasp. "I couldn''t have done it without BJ''s help, energy and creativity...what an honor it was to work with him" says Savage.

So here he is, bringing you some of the songs he''s written "Along the way..."
