This song is a ballad sung by Tony Crane, and written by my father Edward Connolly. (aka London Taxi Teddy), He thought of the idea whilst he was driving his taxi around London in early 1981.
The song was originally written to celebrate the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. As it has been 30 years since the original recording, we felt that it would be nice to re-release it to celebrate the forthcoming wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The song tells of the three generations of a family on a special day out in London to observe and join in the festivities of a Royal wedding.
