"SING" ... All of my life, my dad was my biggest fan. He used to say to me, "Sing for me Babes", while he lay on the couch and listened. When he passed away in May of 2003, I felt like I had lost not only my precious father, by my song as well. When you''re grieving you just don''t feel like singing ... well, I was singing out of obligation, but my heart wasn''t in it. Dr. Gerald Jeffers called me one day and said, "You are not using one of your weapons. God wants you to SING! Your song will defeat the enemy." Then he quoted Isaiah 54, "Sing, O barren ... break forth into singing, and cry aloud ..." Something sparked inside of me, my song and my passion were awakened. I realize that my dad will never ask me to sing for him again, this side of eternity, but I picture my Heavenly Father looking down on me and telling me, "Kim, sing for me!" And so, I dedicate this project to the memory of my father, Rev. Richard Elrod, and to my Heavenly Father; "Lord, I come to sing for you!"
