Joseph Messing has been performing live music in Chicago since 2000. Following the release of "Confessions in Verse" in 2003, Messing changed gears to expand his singer/songwriter sound and include a full band that focuses on folk rock and alternative blues with a rockabilly feel. In 2009, his band The WIse Men was formed and includes Anton Ablan (The Tramps), Daniel Huber (Old Shoe, Mos Funnel), and Ken Thompson. The band has played local shows regularly in Chicago over the past two years and will release a full length album in 2011.
