This album is a long time coming , I have always wanted to do a jazz album however did not really intend on preforming all of the instrumental parts but this is the way it turned out. This album was truly one of my hearts'' desires and I am grateful to GOD for allowing me to share it with you, my hope is that you enjoy it.
The track "True To Yourself" is my attempt to preform a straight ahead jazz piece ... I was impressed , I hope that you enjoy it.
This track reminds me of when I was a kid, my dad and I would sit in our den listening to the jazz greats , Wes Montgomery , Jimmy Smiths etc ... We would also go to the local college and listen to the music major students during their recitals.... hot cats !!!
Dad passed away in 1989 however his roots go deep , so I think that using "True to Yourself" is a most appropriate title, truly a product of my environment.
The song "Always Remember" is in memory of a very talented bassist which I am inspired by...
