I wrote "Divinely Blessed " for my son, Julian Song, on becoming a Bar Mitzvah, June of 2010 in Woodstock, New York. It was very moving to be able to sing these words of encouragement to him as he stood by the torah. My hope is that this song will be inspirational and uplifting to many others and perhaps used in other "Rights of Passage" ceremonies.
I recorded the song with Blondie''s production team, Barb Morrison and Charlie Nieland, in Green Point, Brooklyn. I am singing lead and background vocals, playing keyboard, and also playing flute.
