MP3 Oyster Club - The Fat Angel
A great cover of a seldom-heard Donovan classic song from the 1960''s. Our fresh sound combines elements of the sax-oboe like characteristics of the bassoon, distorted guitar, a driving bass line, tribal sounds of the drums, and quivering vocals.

Recorded with a digital 8 multitracker and mixed with Protools by Steve Tarnoff. Mastering by Gabe Moffat at the tree house.
This is the first recording with our newest addition to the band, Shuli Rayberg. She plays bassoon to our mix of rock music, an instrument not usually used in our genre. We hope you like it.
A special thanks to Shuli''s sister artist Elizabeth Raybee for doing the abum cover/promotional art work for this piece of music. Visit Elizabeth Raybee''s web site to see more of her artwork. https://www.tradebit.com
Oyster Club is composed of 2 of the 3 original members from the band Home Planet, Steve Tarnoff: Singer/songwriter and guitarist, and Mike Roux: drummer and backup vocalists. (Home Planet has not been together since the end of the last millennium). Joining “Oyster Club” provisionally as time and college permits is Martin Tarnoff a.k.a. Suiauthon Lhûgrancion, and a few other "nom de plumes" ( he is son of band leader Steve Tarnoff) playing bass and adding some younger blood to the quartet.
The band plays 60’s and 80’s influenced rock with a philosophy that rock music is essentially plugged-in folk music. Oyster Club continues to perform Home Planet music (which can be purchased on CD https://www.tradebit.com and other internet outlets) and has composed more tunes now released on the CD, "Grateful Living In The Shadows".
