Threedom is guitarist Joe Giglio, bassist David Shaich and drummer Tyrone Govan, freely and spontaneously improvising and composing music in the moment.
Clairvoyant Avenue is some of their music preserved in the digital domain.
The music on this disc was recorded in two sessions, the first of which was the initial time they played as a trio. David Shaich had gigged individually with both Giglio and Govan.
Joe and Tyrone met at that first session.
Giglio, Shaich and Govan each have a strong presence on the New York City jazz scene and beyond. All three have survived as working musicians playing in a vast array of musical contexts ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous. They bring with them to the bandstand an invaluable seasoned maturity, a blissful naiveté and a shared desire and commitment to make honest music without boundaries.
