MP3 John Mitchell - Sitting on Top of the World
Exciting sounds that awaken the senses. His raspy voice, captivating lyrics and unique style of soulful electric and acoustic guitars bridge the gap between music styles. But, at a time when so much music sounds alike, John breaks the mold.

John Mitchell is a true musician who became interested in music at an early age. If there was an instrument available, he would learn to play it... but he just didn''t get the satisfaction he was seeking from them.
Then an uncle gave him a guitar at a young age and he hasn''t looked back. He played in several bands that eventually broke up, and decided to "get a real job". Then some people convinced him that his music needed to be heard. He began writing and recording again. This time as a solo artist. "When you''re a solo artist, you don''t have to worry about wether or not the band is going to break up, whether or not someone will show up to rehearsal, or if a band member won''t practice their instrument... You just write and record. It''s total freedom of expression." "If this becomes nothing more than just a hobby, I''m doing what I love. this is what I was meant to do."
It''s that same freedom of expression that make''s Sitting on Top of the World a triumph. Make Believe invokes thoughts of a time when everything was perfect... The girl, the friends, the first car. The times that people sit around and talk about even when they''re old. The times of our lives. Remember when you fell in love? It was intense, right? Makes your heart pound and your senses go crazy. That''s what When You Fall does. Not the same old love song. When You Fall is fast, pounding and intense. Barely Breathing is a song with a cause. Keeping up with the Jones'' will cause people to loose faith in each other. It''s an acoustic rock song with soulful acoustic improv that leaves you thinking "man, that was deep". Broken Anthem makes the statement, sometimes it''s better not to change...to just be myself. Ever know a woman who is beautiful, yet unassuming? She means more to you than she knows. John sings to that woman in Everything. Reach Out will leave you inspired and ready to reach for your dreams. Get ready to rock out... Pandora is the heaviest song on the album, that focuses on how fame and fortune can drive people crazy. Why is it when people reach a certain status in Hollywood or in the music world that they loose themselves and become tabloid fodder anyway? And Finally, Driving at Night is an electric rock instrumental solo that causes you to feel what it''s like to be driving down a dark highway with no destination, but a lot to think about.
John''s music is framed with his guitar playing, raspy voice, and his rebelliously unique and unlimited style.
