Details:
“No Harm Done” is a beautiful record, from the title track opening with wood blocks and fun, to the heavy dark groove of “Insincere”; from the blistering country romp of “Let Me Tell You”, to the floating hypnotic orchestration of “So Long”, this record touches all bases and touches them in the best possible way.
"Jehan Khoorshed is a talented Ottawa area singer-songwriter with a sometimes-country, sometimes-soul voice that puts him in the upper register of local talent. His songs are a mix of longing, lust, love, and loss - all connected with his wry humor, sense of irony and catchy melodies.
"Local music staple Matt Ouimet produced the album recording at the Resonator Studio in downtown Ottawa. Ouimet played a majority of the instruments but was joined for some tracks by some top names in the Ottawa scene: Phillip Victor Bova (studio and electronics wizard) lent bass skills, Phil Shaw Bova (Hilotrons, Empiricals) played drums and mixed the record, Steve Boudreau (Masters in Jazz Performance from the New England Conservatory) played keyboards, Mike Schultz (Hilotrons, Mike Essoudry’s Mash Potato Mashers) played trombone, and Sarah Hallman lent vocals to the track “Rain”.
"Jehan is very proud to have such a wonderful team working with him on such a great album. Good things are coming for Khoorshed with this gem in his hands."
