Details:
Marzia Gaggioli is an Italian singer song-writer and classical music composer.
Her love for music started when she was a child.
At age of 6/ 7 years, she already played the piano by ear and composed her first songs, but she didn''t want to study music.
When she was 14, she enrolled in the SIAE (Italian Society for Authors and editors) and completed the application for enrolment saying, “no writing composer and lyrics author”.
She sings her songs in different languages (that she learns by herself) and different sounds: pop, rock, rap, hip-hop, jazz, dance music and more.
She also composes movie soundtracks, folk music and classical music:
sonatas, symphonies, concertos, impromptus, preludes, studies, nocturnes and serenades, marches and many waltzes, but what she feels the most deep inside of her is the "baroque style" that brings her to compose minuets and rondos.
Until now, she has composed more than 1000 pieces of music (between songs and classical).
The music plays in her head like an orchestra, just the way it is, with all the instruments, and Marzia must only go on the piano and find it.
Played instruments:
Piano and keyboards, drums kit, saxophone, guitar.
Few months ago she started playing the violin, the Viola and the Cello by herself.
She loves the sounds of these instruments a lot, and she finds them necessary for her compositions.
Performances and competitions:
In 2003 she took part at "Castrocaro competition" (one of the most popular competitions for singers and song writers in her Country) and made it through the semi finals. During the same period she performed singing and playing the drums in many night clubs and discos in her city, and she went on many local and national TV transmissions.
Marzia has also others passions:
She loves drawing (especially comics with stories and characters created by her) and painting.
She has fun shooting and editing videos, creating clothes and costumes, creating sculptures made of clay or card.
She loves to write poems and fantasy books.
