The female vocal trio Sweet Pepprika includes Diane Compton, Barbara Eulenberg and Mary Launder. The group recreates the unique live sound of the much admired Boswell Sisters, a popular New Orleans based vocal trio of the 1930s.
In addition to preserving the Boswells’ style of music, Sweet Pepprika has created their own unique arrangements of standards and rarities from that era and beyond. These songs with their unusual crossover harmonies, filtered through Sweet Pepprika’s modern sensibility, sound both authentic and refreshingly new.
Sweet Pepprika has appeared at many venues in the midwest including the Third Avenue Playhouse, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; Woodwalk Gallery Concert Series, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin; FitzGerald’s, Berwyn, Illinois; Atlantic Bar & Grill, Chicago, Illinois; The Kenilworth Club, Kenilworth, Illinois and many more.
