Dorothy’s House is another playful reflection off of the human condition as seen by Rick Andersen. Like his first album “little fish” the songs lyrics in Dorothy’s House are the central focus of his music. Rick comments upon the state of the state in the title song “Dorothy’s House;” does open heart surgery in “Old Promises;” uses the poem “Elegy On Toy Piano” by Dean Young as inspiration for “The Passing Poet,” and sings a song of redemption called “Ninety Nine Days.”
