Dezso Haklar (Citera/vocals) has performed this music throughout Europe and the United States, bringing joy to listener''s through the authenticity of this artform. Many of the works which appear on this CD have been lost or seldom performed outside of the small villages of inner Hungary. In 2008, Dezso Haklar made his debut appearance in the major motion picture "Doubt" starring Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Haklar''s music is played in the opening credits and he is seen playing the Citera in the film. On this CD, Dezso is accompanied by the equally gifted Hajdu Nemeth, Bela on lead vocal. Also appearing on the recordings are Dezso''s wife, Ilona Haklar on vocals. The music on this CD will transport the listener to an ancient time and place.
