The lyrics to this song were penned by Horatio Spafford after losing so much. He lost his only son at age four to pneumonia, lost much in the way of real estate investments with the Great Chicago Fire, and then later lost his four daughters in a tragic Atlantic shipwreck. The lyrics to this most beloved hymn are believed to be penned at the very spot where the ship with his four young daughters and wife went down. His wife survived; she sent a message to her husband saying "saved alone". Horatio Spafford was able to lean on Jesus during this most difficult time in his life (just like Job did) and he learned to say "it is well with my soul" through the deepest adversity. This was only possible because he had placed his full trust in Christs'' atoning sacrifice on the cross for his sins. Only Jesus can give this supernatural peace through the most difficult storms of life; He cheers us on upward and forward with His very presence. Jesus promises to never leave us or forsake us. You can have that same supernatural peace when you invite Jesus to come into your heart to wash you of your sins, This way you too can be forgiven and go to Heaven some day. Here are just some of the words Horatio Spofford penned...."When peace like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll, whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say it is well, it is well with my soul". The chorus reads "It is well,( it is well), with my soul, (with my soul), it is well, it is well with my soul".

Their music also been featured on various Christian radio stations throughout the country. This was specially recorded with a Steinway concert grand piano at the SUNY campus recital hall (in Purchase, NY). It was digitally recorded and mastered by grammy award winning sound engineer Gregory Squires.
