Known as the "Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Song", this piece was written in 1943 by Hirsh Glick, in Yiddish, a Jewish inmate from the Vilna Ghetto. He was inspired when he heard the news of the Uprising of the Warsaw Ghetto. It traveled from Concentration Camp to Concentration Camp, offering hope and strength to Jews across Europe. He perished before the war ended, at the hands of the Nazis. I want to dedicate this to my many family members who were were murdered by the Nazis as well. The English translation is below.
