In the summer of 2009, I developed this deep calling to record this project. It started as a prayer for discernment. Then, nights of dreams and revelations. As I shared this with my close friends there was but one thing to do. Record. I remember the drive to work the following morning after our meeting. I was having this conversation with the GOD and asking, “What is it you want me to do, I mean specifically?” I remember there a brief pause in my thoughts. Then, in my heart I heard him say, “surrender”. Its been a solid year of recording, arranging, songwriting and spiritual renewal.
Firm is a collection of songs meant to strengthen your faith life. Listen to this project and allow yourself to be transformed. These words are not my own. They have been passed on from generation to generation. It has made me Firm in my own faith life, and made me realize the awesome responsibility entrusted to me as a Christian Musician, fulfilling the words of St. Paul to the Ephesians…

Teaming up with Grammy winner and record producers Michael & Ron Morales from Studio M in San Antonio, https://www.tradebit.com, Ben completed pre-production in late February. Concert & CD release dates are tentatively set for June 2011. Until the completion of this project, Ben will continue his music ministry at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City, TX, and continue providing music for retreats & conferences in the Houston area.
