Jody Belsher lives in the city that was recently named the happiest place in the world to live, San Luis Obispo. She is currently in the studio recording her debut CD "Starlight: songs of hope and recovery." These original songs are heartfelt expressions of a mother writing from the depths of emotion as she experiences the difficulties of addiction in her family. The songs extend in meaning to all journeys in life where the need for hope and recovery are present. Whether it be between fractured people, families or individuals. Songs such as "Never Ever Give Up," and "On the Same Side," are haunting pleas for soul-searching belief in the goodness in the world. "Someday," "Starlight" and "I Believe in You," bring the ultimate desire for hope to the one in need. All ten songs are written from an emotional depth that is rarely felt in a debut CD. The CD is due for release in July, 2011. A few songs are being released in advance, including "Everyone Wants to be Loved."
