Outi Pulkkinen is an experimental vocal artist and expert of traditional Finnish folk songs. She is also one of the few masters of jouhikko, the ancient Finnish bowed lyre, in Finland. Her music has a meditative, ancient feel with deep emotion. At the same time she is at the edge of today still holding her music’s roots deep in the ancient traditions.
