Shayla Danielle; artist, songwriter, worshipper. Born Shayla Danielle Cooper in Willingboro New Jersey on December 6, 1988, Shayla discovered a burning passion for singing at the early age of three. A military brat through both parents, Shayla’s family relocated to Valdosta, GA when Shayla was seven. As a young child, Shayla was exposed to various genres of music that would later influence her personal style as an artist including smooth jazz, contemporary Christian music, gospel, and a hint of R&B. Growing up in a Christian household, Shayla was exposed to various denominations and churches giving her the advantage of connecting with diverse audiences, and most importantly, learning to connect to and feel the heart of God. As a teenager Shayla discovered a greater calling in music beyond just "singing". She now stepped into ministry, as she desired to reveal the love of Christ through her experiences and lifestyle. In 2007 Shayla relocated to Atlanta, GA. A student at Georgia State University, Shayla performed for amateur crowds noticing that many of this generation were spiritually "lost". Outside of any religious affiliation, Shayla noticed that people lacked direction due to the lack of life or the understanding thereof. It was then that Shayla made the commitment to Christ, and to her generation to make a clear distinction between existence and LIVING. It was time to take music and ministry to another level. Most importantly, it was time to bridge the gap between generations combining a voice as pure as snow with melodic harmonies, energetic yet skillful dancing, and rhythmic, up-to date beats. The birth of SHAYLA DANIELLE was far beyond offering an alternative for the gospel music industry but giving the standard instead.
Shayla Danielle has since spread her positive yet melodic messages with multiple crowds of diverse races, ages, and gender. In August of 2010, Shayla Danielle was a finalist for 104.7 The Fish’s Celebrate Freedom Opening Act Competition and opened for artists such as Switchfoot, KJ-52, Natalie Grant, and more, performing in front of thousands. This would serve as the launching point of Shayla Danielle''s career as she received national attention from herself written and produced song entitled "Peace".
Shayla Danielle is scheduled to release her first hit album entitled "Life" in the spring of 2011. A vitalizing debut album that is familiar, yet unpredictable, luring you in with a cool summer breeze voice and a winter snow pure tone. She has teamed with some of the industry''s greatest writers, producers, and engineers to generate a project that will change the face of Christian music forever. She has incorporated multiple genre styles to create one sound that has the power to reach millions. Music is her assignment, and she will use this tool to spread the infinite messages of life and love in the most creative and unbiased ways. Her message: Live life, TO THE FULL.
