"Headlocked" was written in Rough Cut bassist Josh Izzo''s Brookfield, IL garage during an impromptu jam session. Guitarist Mike Tat started playing the riff, Rogus/Izzo quickly followed on drums/bass and, together, they took it all the way through the bridge and chorus on take one. Rough Cut Vocalist, Cris Lauer, finished the lyrics by the time they finished the song. This is probably one of the band''s fastest written, yet personal favorite songs in all of their catalogue.
