syzygy - is a unity or an alignment of the universe and all that occurs in it. The 4th dimension is important to the improvising musician and in the 4th dimension everything exists always. In composition and improvisation, we must interpret the moment and be in unity with the past and present. Since our creator has organized the universe with what we begin to understand as sympathetic vibratory physics, the music I write is governed by the same physical laws that operate in our universe. I think of where my musical thoughts are now as a unity of self and being. --- Bill Koehler
