Details:
Paul Borgese is a Parents'' Choice award-winning author and performer. He has been writing children''s books, performing to classes around the country and working with teachers to create fun and educational children''s programs for over 10 years.

He is the author of three children''s books: A Sunday Stroll, When Fish Go Peopling andHunting for the Whipperwoo, all of which have won him critical acclaim and various scholarships and awards. Every month, this site features a new selection from Paul''s award-winning poems.

As an outgrowth of his educational consulting, Paul also has written several special reports — including his very well-received 27 Ways To Get Your Child Hooked On Books — all of which are available absolutely free on this site.

For his new long-awaited music release, Even the Monkeys Fall Out of the Trees, Paul teamed up with his band, The Strawberry Traffic Jam, to create a delightful ensemble of some of his most famous poems put to music. The album provides a wonderful introduction to world music with songs ranging from country to tango and from rock to island rhythms. Paul''s whimsical lyrics, coupled with the musical magic of longtime songwriters, Andrew Ogilvie and Jovanka Ciares, will have parents and children dancing and singing together while learning life-affirming messages.

Children will meet the monkeys who teach the power of perseverance — everyone makes afew mistakes, just pick yourself up and try again — even the monkeys fall out of the trees! They will learn the importance of sharing through the upbeat Don''t Eat Cookies In Your Bed! We''ll all learn to get along a little better with the wacky song, I Drive Mom Up The Wall. And children will fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the lullaby about love, Whichever Way the Wind May Blow. The album includes 13 of the most requested songs from Paul''s audiences of children and adults from around the country. It has been compared to the family-favorites of the world-renowned children''s troubadour, Raffi.

Paul donates part of the proceeds from all of his performances, as well as book and music sales, to The Rainforest Foundation, which also is supported by other musicians, including Ricky Martin, Elton John, Billy Joel, Sting, Tony Bennett and James Taylor. The Rainforest Foundation helps protect rainforest environments around the world. Paul believes that preserving wildlife habitats such as the rainforest makes the world a better place for our children (and also for the monkeys who love to sing and swing in the trees). Paul also participates in fundraisers for many other schools and non-profit organizations.

Paul began his writing and performing career while working as a volunteer at the Children''s Hospital of Philadelphia. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pennsylvania, Paul was awarded the prestigious British Marshall Scholarship. He studied theater and world literature and received his Master of Arts in Literature from Trinity College, Cambridge University in England, which is the alma mater of A.A. Milne, the famous creator of Winnie-the-Pooh.

He also holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School; a Master of Governmental Administration from the Fels Center of Government, University of Pennsylvania; and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.

Paul currently performs at schools around the country and has been a guest on several radio shows, including Kids'' Corner, one of the top-rated children''s radio programs in the country.

Paul also is working on a new album of lullabies titled Mother Moon and Baby Star: Songs to Soothe Little Souls.
