Virus at First Sight - the solo project of Albany, Ohio native Sam Blam - began as little more than a hobby after the purchase of a cheap Fostex four-track in the Spring of 1998. After a critical five year gestation period, however, Sam began to take a more serious and active interest in his music, and in 2003 began writing and recording material for Virus at First Sight''s home-made debut album and working-class odyssey, Amateur Hour.
Virus at First Sight has also released a follow-up EP - Fever Blisters - available as a FREE DOWNLOAD exclusively through the band''s myspace site (https://www.tradebit.com and plans to release a full-length instrumental collection of "electro-carnival" pieces titled Sweet Diseases sometime this summer.
