The sound of A Whisper in the Noise falls somewhere between Godspeed You Black Emperor, Peter Gabriel, and Joy Division... a mix of 80''s moody keyboard pop and modern orchestrated brilliance. The ensemble consists of six members performing on violin, cello, french horn, electric bass, drums, piano, and vocals. Steve Albini recorded their first album, "Through the Ides of March." His band, Shellac, has continued to help A Whisper in the Noise by inviting them to play festivals such as All Tomorrow''s Parties in the UK.
