Blackwood Article hail from Atlanta, Georgia and have been making a noise on the musical map since 2002. The name, taken from an Edgar Allan Poe story, is meant to signify all of the varying influences that are combined to make up the band''s catalog of songs. The sound created from the process allows Blackwood Article to be new and different yet inviting and familiar at the same time.
The boys are lead by lead vocalist and guitarist Lee Biggs who works with guitarist Matthew Grant to compose the musical and lyrical foundation for the bands songs. Alas, where would they be without their brothers-in-arms who give songs such as "I Remember" and "Sunday" their depth and color? Enter bassist/vocalist Josh Cline and Percussionist Adam Mcwhorter. Together, all four members create a whole more viable than the sum of its parts.
Blackwood Article are soon to be more well known thanks to increased gigging in the Atlanta area and a recent win in their category at the while you still can, and tell y2004 New York International Music Festival.
