In 2002 Gayle and Matt began working together on writing and playing original material. Ed and Scott joined Matt and Gayle in 2004 and Gayle Force Wind was born. After playing numerous venues in Southeastern Ohio, the band decided to begin work on a cd. They entered the Studio in March of 2006 and had completed their first CD - “Storm”, by summer’s end. “Storm” was released to the public on September 1, 2006.
When playing out, Gayle Force Wind plays a mixture of originals and cover tunes. Covered artists include Concrete Blond, Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morsette, Cheap Trick, and John Mellencamp among others. The originals are primarily acoustic rock although songs such as storm and garbagish definitely have a harder edge. For booking information you may contact GFW Publishing, LLC at (740) 819-8770.
