Greetings!
I am a singer and saxophonist from the Central Maine area. I started singing in the youth and adult choirs of the church and learned to play many instruments including saxophone, guitar, flute drums and bass. I attended the University of Maine in Augusta and graduating with a BS in Jazz and Contemporary Music, majoring in saxophone and vocals. It gives me great pleasure to perform and many folks say I sing with conviction, power and soul reminiscent of my vocal influences, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin and Etta James.
I was a featured artist at the 2002 North Atlantic Blues Festival held on July 21 in Rockland, Maine and performed at the 2002 Giving Hunger the Blues Festival in Sarasota, FL, the 2002 Maine Brewer's Festival and the 2002 Maine Festival. This CD is played regularly on local and national radio stations and my song "Left Me Lonely" is featured on the nationally released CD "Underground Highway - Blues Jam Volume 2" produced by Southern Records Group.
I represented the Maine Blues Society in Memphis TN on January 29, 2004 in the International Blues Challenge as part of the dynamic female duo "The Mojo Mamas". This was my second appearance in the IBC, her first being in February 2002 competing with my band the Pat Pepin Project. This annual event, sponsored by The Blues Foundation, is the nation's best search for undiscovered Blues talent.
I have had the great pleasure of sharing the stage with many national acts such as Debbie Davies, Eddie Shaw, E.C. Scott, EG Kight, Chris Cain, Bob Margolin, Pat Ramsey, Shirley King, Johnny Rawls and Tab Benoit.
Give my CD a listen. Support independent musicians! Watch for my new CD to be released in the summer of 2004.
REVIEWS of "I'm Ready":
"When it comes to the blues, I have many "favorite things" I like hearing as I listen to the music. Two of those "favorite things" are really good female blues singers, and a real good blues saxophone player. PAT PEPIN is both of those. On her CD, "I'm Ready," Pat mixes in several well known cover songs made popular by members of her gender, along with five very well written originals. On the first two tracks of the CD, "I'M READY" and "LEFT ME LONELY," both originals - Pat immediately sends the message that she can definitely belt a blues song both vocally and on her horn. After that, there is no looking back, the CD just continues to shine..."

"Pat also blows a mean sax, evident on "Aint What You Got". From the tearful ballad "Let The Healing Begin" to the badass boogie of the title track, Pat makes you feel the blues in wonderful fashion.
