Having been raised in church, I was baptized at eleven years young. I was a senior in high school however, when I can under conviction that I was not living in a quality relationship with God. It was time for me to be making career choices and decisions about college. One Sunday afternoon, as a gag, I hid a tape recorder under the set of the car and taped the conversation of my peers. Later, for amusement, I played it back to them. They were amazed to hear themselves using profanity and cursing. I thought to myself how ugly and unnecessary was the foul language. I felt, no doubt, something similar to Isaiah (6.5), "woe is me" and shortly after I decided that it was more important to be in good standing with god than with my peers. Then of my own volition, I repented of my sins and asked Jesus to change me and to come into my life and guide me. After a few counseling sessions and prayer with my pastor, I felt that I should give my life, vocationally, to the Lord. I haven’t always made the best decisions or choices. In some situation, I made some wrong turns and reaped disastrous consequences. Just a few years ago, I rededicated my life to Christ and have sought, diligently, His will for my life. This time the journey has been adventuresome, abundant in several ways and now, by preaching, praying and music, I am declaring His salvation love and grace everywhere. (Mark 16:15)
