"Tall Like God has become my favorite new album, and for the moment my favorite new band.
If you love to bang your fucking skull and still hear masterful musicality and lyrics, you are going to love this thing. Musically rich but hard as nails. Andy''s vocals are clear and sharp, reminding me of the virtuoso singer for Sunny Day Real Estate. He wails and gets right up inside your head (headphones a MUST), and layers of vocals interacting with each other are like another whole beat track, and BAD ASS. Listen to "Junkie''s Eyes" for the best example of this rhythmic layering of vocals, and I challenge you to stay in your seat. You can''t do it.

The first night I listened to the album, I''d had one of the worst days I can remember. I wanted to kill somebody, anybody. This record sank right in and made friends with my sickness, my rage. Hell, I felt better after!

Hard and driving but at the same time thoughtful and musically sophisticated, Tall Like God takes you on a wild journey into the bowels of psychic darkness. Babies (dying? abandoned? who knows!), flatlining respirators, and even the madman of Jonestown pay guest
visits as you slide down, down into pain, addiction and insanity.
"The Reign" is a masterpiece, bringing this ride to a crazed crescendo. But then, just when you think you can''t take any more orgasmic mindfucking, a breath of fresh air rescues you and whisks you away with "Song For Anna." But don''t get too comfortable. A bed of nails awaits..."

“Mesmerizing like watching a train wreck, for some reason reminded me of my ex-girlfriend who tore my heart out”
